Peace Garden Art

6-28-13
I'm having a hard time grasping the fact that summer is here- in full force. Our spring was so cold and raining- but now the heat and sun have appeared. I have been creating some  Peace garden art- just in time to add to my or YOUR garden!  Please don't mind the weeds you see here :)

Current stock of Framed Peace

5-23-13

I'm starting to turn my attention back to my PEACE Art this month..... mostly because I was missing my morning minutes of creativity. So I also need to think about selling my current stock of Peace Art and make room for more.

The following pictures are the small framed 8 x 8 inches size of painted CD's I currently have to sell.
Framed in black metal & matted. ONE = $40; TWO = $70; THREE = $100.

PEACE HUG for Jane

5-19-13
Sending a special Peace Hug out to Jane today as a reminder to myself of meeting this special lady and her husband as we stayed in their B&B this weekend.

If anyone is looking for a relaxing small town getaway, check out Charlie and Jane's B&B in Mount Ayr, Iowa. Greg and I walked the two blocks to the town square, had dinner at Ramsey's Restaurant and took in a $5 movie at a nicely remodeled theater, the Princess. We enjoyed the Tom Cruise movie Oblivion. We slept well and enjoyed our own private bath on the second floor of this cool old house.

Mother's Day Peace

5-15-13
Here I am back for a visit to my Peace Art Blog. On Sunday I actually had time, and was in the mood to create some new PEACE ART. I picked up the yellow paint, since yellow was my Mom's favorite color- at least that is what she told me when I was a child.I need to ask her if it still is her favorite.  My favorite color was blue back then. Now, I really can't say what my favorite color is..... maybe the last few years it's been orange!

FYI: The "Peace Wall Exhibit is up in Des Moines for about 2 more weeks!
Then I am signed up for a Peace show in August.

Wall of PEACE

4-1-13 (this is not an April's Fool Joke)..... really!

"WELCOME PEACE"
by Judy Sebern Beachy

My peace art journey began in 2011 and continued through 2012.  Now in 2013, I’m expanding my peace art into new and creative venues.  Building this wall of peace was inspired by a visit to the DM Art Center in January. I observed that a common object can often become more interesting when multiplied and grouped together. (So I thought I’d give it a try!) Nearly 400 peace discs are displayed here.

This display is hung for the months of April and May at Westminster Church in Des Moines. Use the Franklin Avenue entrance and walk straight ahead.... you won't miss it.

PEACE WALL location

2-11-13
Thanks Renee for your question about building the "PEACE WALL".

Remember this gallery space at Westminster Church (Des Moines, Iowa)  below which I hung my peace art over a year ago?

This will be the wall!
