Thanks Renee for your question about building the "PEACE WALL".
Remember this gallery space at Westminster Church (Des Moines, Iowa) below which I hung my peace art over a year ago?
This will be the wall!
Why the PEACE SIGN? One simple reason is that the PEACE SIGN is a simple icon and easy to paint, and communicates my desire to create and share something positive. Since I will be creating 365 pieces of “peace” artwork over the upcoming year, “easy and simple” is a necessity for sure, don’t you think?

Building a PEACE WALL
2-8-13
My next BIG peace project has the green light to go! Imagine a long wall with a mass of PEACE disks in a rectangular shape measuring 4 feet high by 12 feet long. That is what I'm aiming for. I calculated that this will require about 380 disks. I will need about 100 more to go by April 1st installation.
Here are the ones I made today!
